Urban Wolves Fibre Arts is Vancouver's newest (and, the last time we checked, only) yarn boutique. We're so new that we don't even have a location yet!
Don't worry though: we're actively looking for a retail spot in beautiful downtown Vancouver and are about to enter into negotiations for a property in an historic building on Evergreen Blvd. If all goes well we'll soon be counting down to our grand opening! Stay tuned to this blog and our Twitter and Facebook feeds for the latest news about Urban Wolves Fibre Arts!
In the meantime, please allow us to introduce ourselves. Christine and Michael Arrington are long-time residents of Vancouver and live in the Felida area. They've spent the last few decades building successful careers in the field of market analysis looking at consumer entertainment content and technologies ranging from movies and video games to graphics semiconductors and virtual reality. Sound exciting? Not really!
Urban Wolves is the realization of the dream to step away from the world of ROIs and CAGRs and get involved full time in the world of creativity. How better to do that than introducing what we hope will be the best little local yarn store in the Portland metro area?
Christine is a knitter, crocheter, and fiber spinner and is beginning to explore the art of dyeing fiber. Michael is just learning to knit but has been a supporter of and an active participant in Christine's hobby over the years and has picked up a little knowledge about yarn along the way. He also enjoys cross-stitching, embroidery, sewing, and a number of other creative pastimes that don't involve string.
Urban Wolves will, of course, carry a wide selection of high-quality yarns from all of your favorite vendors as well as the tools for working with them. We're looking to carry fiber, yarn, tools, and equipment especially from small local vendors in the Pacific Northwest. Over time we'll introduce classes and project kits for customers of all skill levels. We want our store to be a comfortable place where you and your friends can come shop, practice your art, and relax.
We look forward to sharing a cup of coffee or tea with you and seeing your work!
